Quick start
First session in MASAIC: sign in, open a project, run the Agent Playground, and know where to go next.
Goal: in about 15 minutes, send a successful message in the Agent Playground and know where to adjust prompts, resources, tools, or releases if the answer is wrong.
Starting from an empty workspace with no agents yet? Follow Getting started instead — it walks through adding a model and building your first agent before you get here.
Checklist
- Sign in — Use your org URL and
/auth/sign-in(details). - Open a project — From Home → Projects, choose your team workspace row.
- Open Chat — In the workspace sidebar under Agents, select Chat (the Agent Playground).
- Pick agent + environment — Use the controls your workspace exposes (often staging first).
- Send a real prompt — Use a question your team actually receives, not “hello.”
- Inspect the result — If tools ran, confirm the action matches policy; if not, note what was missing.
- Iterate — Thin answers → prompts & resources. Missing actions → MCP. Wrong routing → Agents. Before production → testing and release.
If something blocks you
| Blocker | Where to look |

| No project row | Teams and access — you need an invite. |
| Wrong sidebar (only Home / Profile) | You are on Personal Account; open Projects and enter a workspace. |
| Agent list empty | An owner must create an agent or grant you access. |
| Tools never appear | MCP may be unset for that agent or environment (MCP guide). |
| Only SSO / Entra sign-in shown | Your tenant may disable password login — use the org identity provider your admin configured. |
