Create an agent
Use the New agent wizard to give an agent a model, a prompt, and optional skills.
An agent ties together a model, instructions (a prompt), and optional skills. The New agent wizard walks you through it step by step.
Run the wizard
- In the sidebar, open Agents → Agents, then click New.
- Identity — set a name (lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens), an optional description, and choose the agent's visibility and scope (personal vs team).
- Model — select the model to run on. You can also create one inline here (see Add an AI model).
- Prompt — pick an existing prompt or create one that tells the agent how to behave.
- Skills — optionally attach skills the agent can use.
- Review — check the summary and click Create.
Your agent is versioned: editing it later creates a new version you can compare and roll back.
Tip: If you don't see a New button, your role may lack create permissions — ask a workspace owner (Teams and access).
Multi-agent systems
Agents can delegate to other agents: a coordinator agent hands off parts of a task to specialist agents, forming a multi-agent system — rather than forcing one agent to do everything. Start with a single agent and compose more as your needs grow. See what MASAIC is for how models, agents, prompts, and tools fit together, and skills vs. resources for where skills come in.
