Create a prompt
Author reusable instructions your agents share, with variables and versioning.
Prompts hold the instructions that shape how an agent behaves. Creating them separately lets several agents share and version the same wording.
Create the prompt
- In the sidebar, open Content & memory → Prompts.
- Click New.
- Give the prompt a name, and choose a type (completion, chat, or personality).
- Write the prompt content. Use
{{variables}}for values that change per request. - Choose the scope — team (shared) or personal (only you) — and save.
Tip: Keep instructions specific and testable. Thin, vague prompts are the most common cause of weak answers.
