Connect an MCP tool
Register an MCP server so your agents can take real actions through its tools.
Agents take real actions through tools, exposed by MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers. Connect a server once, then attach its tools to any agent.
Register the server
- In the sidebar, open Models & tools → MCP Servers.
- Click New.
- Enter a name, the server's transport / URL, and any authentication it needs.
- Save — MASAIC connects and discovers the tools the server exposes.
- Review the discovered tools and confirm their status is connected/healthy.
Attach tools to an agent
Open an agent, edit its version, and add the tools you want it to use in the Skills / tools step.
Tip: If tools never appear for an agent, the MCP server isn't attached to that agent or environment yet.
